Through IMC’s Doctor-at-a-DistanceTM service, we field minor medical questions to major medical emergencies in Texas and around the world. The process mobilizes our professional staff to assess a problem, and then to provide definitive information to the caller to help with their decision-making. Such ideas might range from professional input on observing the patient to administering specific treatment protocols to evacuating the patient to the U.S. or to capable overseas health facilities. At the same time we document the interaction. Until a problem is resolved, IMC staff remain involved and available.
