Travel Visits
A New Travel Visit is the appropriate level of service if you are going on
overseas trips of short duration (as opposed to expatriate assigments).
What do I get with a New Travel Visit?
Before your appointment, you will send us a detailed health history form. This
form is used by our physicians to recommend vaccinations, as well
as any medications you may need (such as antimalarials). After the
physician reviews your information, you will have an appointment with one of
our trained medical staff. This staff member will review the doctor's
recommendations with you, go over basic travel health issues, and answer any
questions you have. They'll finish by administering immunizations,
and completing medical travel documents, such as your International
Certificate of Vaccination.
What if I need a Free of Contagious Disease letter, or other forms for a visa?
Consider scheduling a Physical Exam instead. If a physician certification is
needed for any travel document (other than stating you have received a
particular vaccination), the physician will need to perform a physical exam.
What if I am not sure that I need to get any vaccinations?
When you schedule your appointment, our physician reviews your information ahead
of time. This is called a Chart Review. If the physician determines you do not
need an appointment, you will only have to pay a small Chart Review fee.
Otherwise, the cost of the Chart Review is included in the cost of the New
Travel Visit.
